Welcome to the Lions Club of Elkhorn
Welcome to the Elkhorn Lions club website.
Lions are an international network of 1.3 million men and women in 202 countries and geographic areas who work together to answer the needs that challenge communities around the world.
Known for working to end preventable blindness, Lions participate in a vast variety of projects important to their communities. These projects range from cleaning up local parks to providing supplies to victims of natural disasters.
Beginning in 1917, the association of Lions clubs has provided millions of people with the opportunity to give something back to their communities. View LQ (Lions Quarterly Video Magazine) on the Lions News Network to see how Lions continue to make a difference everyday and everywhere.
The Elkhorn Lions club meets on the second Tuesday of every month at the Western Douglas County office in Elkhorn ( see the contact page for map to the location). Our organization is involved in a number of volunteer opportunities through out the community including:
- Health screen for the Nebraska Special olympics.
- Volunteering for Elkhorn Days.
- Volunteering for the Spokes4folks Charity Bicycle Ride.
- Volunteering for highway cleanup.
- Assisting in community as the requests or need arises.
The Elkhorn Lions Club also holds various fund raising events including:
- Pancake Breakfasts
- Golf Outing
The members are always looking for new people that want to give back to the community. Everyone has individual valuable talents and gifts.

The Elkhorn water tower from the St. Patrick's Catholic Church parking lot at Route 31 and Maple Street.
